Felixwood Kapur comes from the tropical lowland forests of Indonesia. Well-formed buttresses support their straight, cylindrical bole and the trunk is free of branches up to 30 m, which explains their homogeneity. Renowned for its durability, Kapur is a hardwood used for outdoor construction. It is used as a substitute for Bangkirai. Kapur is initially reddish-brown to orange in colour, and darkens rapidly when exposed to UV light.
